Take this quiz to find out which one is right for you!

When I teach my undergrad psychology students about psychoanalytic techniques like free association or dream interpretation, they often freak out...and tell me they'd much prefer a cognitive behavioral approach if they need therapy.

But then there are always those couple of students who are the exception.

Intrigued by the idea of the unconscious, and of working intensely within the therapy relationship, psychoanalytic therapy seems attractive to them.

These students want to go deep and get to the bottom of things...and are excited at the prospect of a therapist who can see through their defenses.

In truth, different therapies are right for different people...and there's really no right or wrong.

And that's why my practice, Goldstein Therapy, offers both psychoanalysis and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Different strokes for different folks!
